Go-Ahead backs bus industry’s tribute to key workers

Today we are backing the Confederation of Passenger Transport’s (CPT) campaign to praise bus workers across the UK. Our bus colleagues are providing a critical role during the crisis in keeping services open for key workers.

The Coronavirus outbreak has resulted in restrictions of movement across the UK. However, we must continue to run services for passengers who need to make essential journeys – whether it’s to hospitals, supermarkets or places of work. 

Thanks to our bus driver colleagues, key workers can still make their journeys to and from work. People without access to a car are also able to continue to make vital trips.

Behind the scenes, our engineers, cleaners and transport managers are working to ensure that buses can be on the roads. This also includes adjusting services to best serve the community and keeping people updated of timetable changes.

Every colleague is playing a part in keeping the country moving. Our bus companies will be supporting the initiative through social media today, using the #ThankYouBusWorkers
