Governance
We strive to align our values, purpose, and strategy with the social, economic, and environmental needs of key stakeholders: our passengers, colleagues, suppliers, partners, and the local communities we serve. By being open and honest in how we communicate and report, we build trust and make thoughtful decisions that create real, lasting benefits for people and the planet.
The Go-Ahead Way interlinks our values, structure and processes – it’s our way of working.
Our approach to everything we do is underpinned by our commitment to promote a devoted customer-first culture backed by our people, our superior assets and our ability to collaborate as a trusted partner to innovate and invest. It is the ‘Go-Ahead Way’ which interlinks our values, our structure and processes, and our way of working. At the heart of this is the customer and the community.
Who we are

Our Climate Change Strategy plays a key role in guiding our efforts to reduce our environmental impact while delivering sustainable transport solutions.
We have set a Science Based Target to reduce our scope 1&2 emissions by 75% by 2035, with ambitious milestones along the way. This includes decarbonising our transport fleet, reducing the negative impact of air quality from our operations, cutting our water usage and reducing waste.
Climate change strategyMeeting global standards for social and environmental sustainability – the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Our social, environment and governance strategies align with key United Nations SDGs, addressing climate action, inclusion, and equity through original initiatives and meaningful investment.
We play an important role ensuring that millions of people travel safely to work, education and access necessary services. Beyond this vital service delivery, we create social value by directly contributing to our communities through donations, community grant programmes and by supporting awareness campaigns for charities and community groups.
